Florence is a small western town. This is Main Street. In the winter we even get horse and buggy rides. February has the Historic Downtown tour where private homes on the Historic Register are open to the public.

You can watch the Jr Parada and Rodeo every Thanksgiving Weekend at the Whitlow Rodeo grounds in Florence...just a few miles from us.
The Florence Junior Parada is the oldest sanctioned youth rodeo in the United States.  The Weekend's activities include the annual Saturday morning parade along Main Street followed by the rodeo on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. the rodeo attracts youngsters ages five to 18 from across the Southwest.  Over the years, some of these youngsters have gone on to compete nationally.

This is an event held at the RV Resort where we used to own a lot and small home. It's called "Anything on Wheels". I put my roller blades on and dabbed ketchup on my face. I still didn't win.

We left this 55+ park for a larger place since we are permenant residences and seem to keep accumulating stuff.

We sold ours but our neighbors have theirs up for sale/rent. Take a look around to see what it's like to live in a small community with all of the amenities.
